“No Limit” Pulled From YouTube After Deepfake Audio Scandal

Players Cite Fabricated Quotes, Manipulated Context, and No Consent; WSOP Issues Apology and Promises Reedit

The World Series of Poker has removed every episode of its docuseries No Limit from YouTube after the show’s producer admitted to using AI‑generated deepfake audio to alter player interviews—at one point making a featured pro appear to say things he never actually said.

Filmmaker Dustin Iannotti had promoted No Limit as a project designed to “tell poker stories that match the stakes.” Instead, several players now say the series told stories that didn’t even match their own words.

Deepfake Audio Comes to Light
In a now‑deleted post on X, Iannotti acknowledged using AI lip‑syncing during post‑production “to speed scene transitions and improve narrative pacing.” His admission followed accusations from high‑stakes pro Alan Keating, who said the show had “put words in his mouth.”

Keating dismissed Iannotti’s explanation entirely, saying, “This doesn’t deserve a response, and you know why.”

Iannotti claimed only two lines in the series used synthetic audio. But another participant, Alex Keating (no relation), publicly disputed that, saying the edits went far beyond what was disclosed.

“They’ve clearly added a fake voice in for me. And re-edited things without context,” he wrote on X. “I never agreed to this.”

Player Backlash
Players emphasized that they volunteered their time to support the project and help grow the game—only to see their interviews manipulated without consent.

WSOP Issues Statement
In response, WSOP confirmed the series’ removal and pledged to reedit the entire project before re‑releasing it.
